Dear Group, 1) Information received by ICs is NOT "fiduciary" in nature. I am really surprised that such irresponsible statements are being conveyed to group members. Such emails are official communications to public servants acting in their statutory / administrative capacities.
2) From the reply to Vihar's RTI (to NIC) it is quite apparent that Vihar has not yet understood how to draft RTI requests and he is still unclear what constitutes Information accessible under the Act. Each and every such RTI request is a slap in the face of our group. For 4 years we have been attempting to teach citizens how to use RTI Act responsibly so as to get every scrap of information they are entitled to AND to benefit other citizens in the process. It is quite obvious that we have failed and that stern measures are required to revive this group and save RTI Act (although I doubt if it can be saved).
