A nifty tutorial on using the parallel port can be found at
http://midas.psi.ch/rtlinux/irq.html.
I ran it with the scope and the darned thing actually worked.

Subject: [rtl] Need help on the paralle port
Hi,
I'm wondering how I can access the paralle port under RT-Linux. I am using
a PC and wondering where I can find those PC hardware information for
writing my device driver.
Many Thanks.
