Dan,

On my system the Linux clock runs _slow_ while RT tasks are running.
I also needed to log the wall clock time.  What I do is put the
"rdate" command in my crontab.  I have another machine with a good
clock on my network and I simply re-sync with it every 15 minutes.

I tried a more elegant fix:  Running xnpt on the real-time machine
but xntpd and rtl do not seem to get along at all.  Crashes big time.
Maybe this been fixed.  I'm using an earlier version of RTL.  It
would be nice to be able to use xntpd (NTP = Network Time Protocol)
