wrt an embedded system using a sandisk. the problem that i encountered, using a Real
Time Devices USA
CMT103HR pc104 carrier board and a sandisk sdib220 (a 1.8 inch ide "disk"), was that
only the
CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDE was set in the kernel .config . the sandisk was not to be found,
except when
booted on a dos floppy. setting the ide driver for old disk, CONFIG_BLK_DEV_HD_IDE,
resolved the problem
and the system is not able to use the sandisk as advertized.
