LS, Ran into trouble installing the RT module and cannot get away with the documentation. I was told that this list would be a good place for help with rtlinux but someone please let me know if this is not right and I will not send more mail. my installation procedure: *fetched the rtlinux2.0.36-9J.tgz file (already patched 2.0.36 kernel source) *remove the current linux link (thus leaving the Redhat5.2 sources and switching to the patched source) and extracted the archive in the /usr/src dir This results in a linux and a rtl directory. *cd /usr/src/linux and run make config, make dep, make clean, make zImage, make modules *remove the /lib/modules/2.0.36 directory *make modules_install which recreates a fresh /lib/modules/2.0.36 *copy zImage to /boot, adapt /etc/lilo.conf and run /sbin/lilo *cd /usr/src/rtl and run make in order to install the rtmodules in the /lib/modules/2.0.36 dir *reboot When I apply /sbin/ksyms -a |grep " "rt_ , then just rt_request_timer rt_free_timer rt_set_timer rt_no_timer seem to be available........... Where is the rest of these precious RT calls? Can anybody tell me where I misunderstood something? regards, Rob --- [rtl] --- To unsubscribe: echo "unsubscribe rtl" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] OR echo "unsubscribe rtl <Your_email>" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---- For more information on Real-Time Linux see: http://www.rtlinux.org/~rtlinux/
