Let me correct my previous post. I meant to say:

The "sample programs" attached with RT-linux V1.1 and
V2.1.D packages did not work on RedHat 4.2 and 5.2.

RT-patched kernel itself seems to work fine on RedHat, but the sample
programs (fp and frank) do NOT work on it.

1. I used releaseDfull.tgz, made RT-kernel from it on redHat 5.2.
2. reboot the machine, run RT-kernel.
3. run sample program fp and frank.
4. machine freezed.

The result is the same with rtlinux1.1full.tgz and RH4.2.
The funny thing is that, when I kill some daemon (inetd, httpd so on)
and restart, sample program fp and frank seem to work on RH.

When I switched to Slackware 3.6.0, run the same procedures above,
fp and frank came to work fine.

If you can run the fp and frank on RH, please let me know how to do that.

Debian is NOT Redhat;-)
