Hi Phil, sorry to jump into the middle of a thread.... Does this mean that it would be possible to throw together a minimum system with 486, some flash and DRAM, but no bios, display, HD, etc and get RTLinux to boot? I.e. any kernel requirements for those 'extras' such as display, etc can be removed? If so, this is a very enticing possibility. I've been tracking the Linux microcontroller's system on a simm project. But it's not of much value to me since it doesn't have real time capability. Regards, Jim.
