My 10c worth...
I think it is in the best interest of the RT Linux community to define
for both
Victor and Paolo their needs in terms of an API.
We almost have what we need.

I do not want cygnus doing this work for us.
I would like to see applications able to run under either system when
the basic
API is used.

A series of extensions could be defined for each system.
If the user wishes to use a feature available in only one system
Then that is their choice.

Perhaps this list should start this discussion and we could finalise the
proposal
at the meeting in Vienna.
Don't worry if you can't come to Vienna make your views well known here
beforehand.

I don't think this is going to be too much work and I think now is the
time to do it.

Any comments ??
Phil
