Hi Ana,
I don't know exactly from were your problems comes but I think you should
start with a newer Linux release with a native kernel 2.2.*
because differences could be not only in the kernel but also in the
libraries.
I'm actualy working with a RedHat 5.3 and the 1.1 rtl release, and all works
fine.
