I am trying to determine whether some flavor of RT Linux is suitable for my application. Target is based on the AMD Elan chip (x86 system), <1mB pgm memory and flash storage (<4MB). Will use PPP to support online target management via SNMP (MIB-based) or WWW (Server based). RT performance is not a serious issue. What is a reasonable embedded footprint for embedded Linux, supporting simple flash file system, protocol stack, and WWW server/SNMP Agent?
