Following my first posting on this thread, Victor and I have
exchanged quite a heated discussion (off the list). I can't
say that we reached any agreement on anything and I still do
have my concerns, but I would like to publicly apologize for
flaming Victor. My intent was to spark a fruitful discussion
and it wasn't necessarily the best way to start.
That said, I still do think that there are serious issues that
need to be resolved (which means that the discussion is still
ongoing). I have my concerns, so does Victor and so do others,
but as Jeff has just pointed out: "Arrogance, on anyone's part,
is not going to help". So here, this is an attempt to push
things on a more reasonable track.
