Next week I have to give a presentation to the Open Modular Architecture
Controls (OMAC) Users Group entitled "A Survey of Linux, Embedded Linux,
and Real-Time Linux". I understand that many OMAC members are big fans
of Windows CE, especially 3.0 with real-time. In fact one of the other
presenters is Ed Lansinger from Microsoft giving a presentation called
"Windows CE/Linux Comparison".

Just in case you are curious, see
http://www.arcweb.com/omac/GenMtgs/0201MtgAgenda.htm
for more info.

In checking out the competition I came across the document

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/techart/rt30designing.htm#rt30designing_perf

Which seems to claim 5 microsecond worse case interrupt latency on a 350
Mhz which will probably sound better than the 15 microseconds the RTL
FAQ mentions.

Is this a fair comparison?

Are there other advantages of RTL over CE 3.0 that I should be prepared
to mention other than being free and open source?
