HI! Thanks for all replies.
The problem was (or rather is) that I am new to RTLinux and CAN and when I got errors about SMP/SPINLOCK* I figured that I had done something wrong with Linux/RTLinux configuration .... and needed some help! I have since my first mail downloaded a few drivers (thanks for your tips) and compiled them (via some Makefile hacking) on an old Linux 2.14 + RTlinux 2.2 system. This is an Linux kernel and an old RTLinux version so .... ... I will compile up a new kernel from Linux 2.4 and RTLInux 3.1 and try Edouard's CanFestival(ArbraCan) or Heinz Haeberle's driver for that kernel. Thanks!! /hesa *) considering how MontaVista has used the spinlock for their preempt-kernel. BTW: No, I am not at all afraid of compilation errors and I don't need anything to click in to do my work. -- [rtl] --- To unsubscribe: echo "unsubscribe rtl" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] OR echo "unsubscribe rtl <Your_email>" | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- For more information on Real-Time Linux see: http://www.rtlinux.org/
