Hi all;)
I got in trouble switching from callback-receive to 0.7.0-blocking-receive. Data sent to rtnet is simply not recognized :( Actions I did are: - renamed function calls... - removed rt_socket_callback() - added endless while-loop around (old) callback function - run old callback function as task with (now) blocking recvmsg_rt Is there anything else I have to adapt??
In theory, not. Two suggestion: First, check with RTcap and tcpdump/Ethereal what data reaches your node (or what is transmitted on the sender side). Second, if you still have no idea, post the relevant parts of your code so that we can double-check.
Blocking receive task is running and blocking but nevers gets data. Rtifconfig / rtroute look fine, rtping works. Loaded modules are rtai_rtdm, rtmac, rtnet and eepro100-rt. RTmac is loaded for kernelspace message sending - not for time slice
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Sorry, what???
syncronisation because it's a p2p-connection. Rtnet is compiled w/o backwards compatibility. RTAI-3.1test3, rtai_lxrt, Kernel 2.4.26
Did anybody run into the same situation?
Btw: after removing the receiving task, a 'cat /proc/rtai/scheduler' causes a kernel paging fault :-Z
Maybe the cleanup of your task was not successful. Check the open file descriptors under /proc/rtai/rtdm/. Also take a careful look at the examples and check if you do something differently. However, a potential issue of the combination RTnet 0.7.0 and RTAI 3.1 can also not be excluded - we were not able to check this thoroughly.
