while starting of the "rtnet start", it is trying to either wait for TDMA client if it is master, or contact with a master if it is a client.
Ok, this indicates that your previous problem is likely solved.
Do I have to configure RTNET as such as TDMA (master/client) network.
I tried to configure it with master mode and empty client string and then late on the "rtnet start" failed because of the ioctl command, permission/can not?
Can the RTNET machine be configured as the only RTNET node in the network and the rest of machine would be regular ip host machine and communicate?
yes, standalone RTNET node. I want just to try and test the RTNET features on a single machine at this moment.
Then forget about the rtnet script with its startup of RTcfg and RTmac/TDMA for a while.
Yes, you can use it stand-alone, but of course you will lose real-time guarantees due to indeterministic load arriving over the normal network at your RTnet box. For this purpose, configure the rteth0 manually with the help or rtifconfig (set IP) and rtroute (set "routes", i.e. resolve the IPs to MAC addresses - "rtroute solicit" starts an ARP round).
I enable the net-routing option, I can see these rteth0 and rtlo are created, however it seem there is not route and rtping failed as well.
the last one, Can Dynamic IP address be used with RTNET (DHCP i.e.)?
RTnet doesn't support DHCP, as this is not compatible with real-time requirements. However, with RTcfg you have a comparable mechanism available. RTcfg allows you to manage your real-time station in a centralised way. It's like fixed addresses with DHCP: you can assign IPs to stations if you know their MAC addresses. Side-by-side with this mechanism, you can furthermore distribute arbitrary configuration to the stations. More about this in the RTcfg readme and spec.
Where are those related information/documents?
Scattered all over the project ;). This is a known issue, and we are still waiting for somebody supporting us to create a centralized manual or something similar. In the meantime, dig through the readmes in the documentation folder, call the related tools with "--help", or check how rtnet script starts a network.
