With 2 NICs in the same PC anc connect with a cross-cable for setting
the second card the command:
rtcfg returne always the error:  hard_start_xmit returned -11
and the command: rtcfg rteth1 ready the error:  ioctl: Invalid argument

at the moment for starting the 2 ethernet card I used the manual command 
rtifconfig and rtroute and the sistem should work
