IBM/Lenovo notebooks can be a good choice, I'm using one for development and testing as well. Some older ones have a built-in EtherExpress PRO/100 which RTnet support. Soon there should also be a driver for the Gigabit version of that card which is common in many recent notebooks. In general, just check which Linux driver the notebook requires and compare with the list of drivers supported by RTnet. Jan
