Hi, Since it was not clear to me which version of rtai was the latest I cvsed the vulcano version through gna ( as told in the reply). Then I tried to compile it with a kernel 2.6.14.3 with the RTAI serial line driver ( I don't need but I tried..) it didn't work... I removed the RTAI serial line driver and it compiled.
Then I attacked the rtnet compilation: checking for RTnet Kconfig file... .rtnet_config(supplied) checking for RT-extension... /usr/realtime (RTAI) checking for RTAI version... configure: error: *** unsupported rtai version 3.3 So I am back on the magma version By the way I tried also xenomai with a patch for kernel 2.6.9 ( that's the latest they have....) but in the end too many compilation problems... So tell me a configuration that compiles from A to Z: I just want to answer to a specific packet in around 10us. For that reason the example in rtnet of a server base on rtai interrest me but I can't get it to compile. So help me with a configuration that works because the latest one doesn't again a fresh install --- Paolo Mantegazza <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> a écrit : > Cédrick ROCHET wrote: > > Hi, > > I just installed a kernel 2.6.14.3 with the latest > > rtai from the cvs. I got rtnet from the cvs too. > > When I try the make menuconfig with selecting rtai > I > > have the following error: > > > > checking for RTnet Kconfig file... .rtnet_config > > (supplied) > > checking for RT-extension... /usr/realtime (RTAI) > > checking for RTAI version... magma > > checking for RTAI config file... > > /usr/realtime/share/rtai/config-rtai-magma > > checking for Linux source tree... /usr/src/linux > > (kernel 2.6.14) > > checking for RTDM skin... configure: error: *** > Please > > enable RTDM skin > > make: *** [config.status] Error 1 > > > > I can't find any thing in the menu about that and > it > > happens even when I select everything. > > So any solution? > > Try the latest vulcano (aka rtai-3.3).
