What was different then? > The problem is, the best I got was to rtping the loopback and exchanging > the MAC addresses at stage 1. Please report more details (precise description of your steps, output of the stations, config files, etc.). And browse the archive of this list for similar reports and possible solutions (<your-favourite-search-engine> is your friend...). > It would be nice if you could tell me what combination of Xenomai an > RTnet work best together. Generally, combining a very old version of package X with a fairly new version of package Y may more easily cause problems. It's practically impossible to keep an eye on all possible combinations. ATM there are no known issues of any specific /combination/ of RTnet and Xenomai. Each project had its own bugs (e.g. RX-FIFO race in 0.9.3 or the broken priority inheritance of RTDM mutexes in Xenomai 2.0.x and early 2.1 versions), but you can avoid them by upgrading. 0.9.4 over 2.2 or 2.1.2 *must* work, otherwise we need to hunt the bug. > At the end I want to connect both with > firewire and benchmark Xenomai + Firewire and Linux preempt_rt. So, direct your questions first to that community which provides the source. >> PS: Are you "just" building experimental binaries for SLIND or are your >> in the end also preparing packages?
