Hi, I don't know if this or the xenomai-list is the rigth address for my problem, but at least Jan reads both ... :-)
I tried to test my updatetd rtnet+xenomai-setup with the the local loopback (as described on http://www.xenomai.org/index.php/RTnet:Installation_&_Testing), but "/usr/rtnet/sbin/rtnet" with the switch "stop" hangs the script (I think at "rtifconfig rteth0 down"). Before I used kernel 2.6.17.14 + xenomai-2.3.0 +rtnet 0.9.8 and the test(s) worked properly. Now I have upgraded to 2.6.19.3 + xenomai-R2162 + rtnet 0.9.8 and the test hangs when I try to stop rtnet. Before trying to stop, "rtping 127.0.0.1" works as expected. This happens on two totaly differrent computers. The kernel-config is unchanged, xenomai-nucleus/native is compiled in like before. So, can somebody test the loopback with a recent kernel + recent xenomai and see if everything works, so I know it is worth for me to investigate my setup. Btw: the docu for RTnet on www.xenomai.org is great, but that the installation process is explained with RTAI ... hehe. :-) TIA, nils ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
