Hi, I'am a master student of the Federal University of Bahia, working with Markos Fernandez on a real-time protocol to be implemented on shared-ethernet.
I'd like to know if some Ethernet NICs allows to access the carrier-sense state of the bus, exporting it to the kernel through some device register? It seems that some NICs of 3COM (3C90x and 3C90xB) has a "carrierSense" read-only register which can be accessed to get this information. Also, is there any RT-net driver for this NICs ? Any help is sincerely welcome, Paul Regnier ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
