hi,all: I am a greenhand using rtnet amd met some problem on configurating two netword cards in one box. I have two RTL8139 cards in one machine. I want to use thoes two cards for real-time traffic. now I configure rtnet.conf with option "cards=1,1,0,0". but I just appoint one ipaddress. then I do: # sbin/rtnet start no error #sbin/rtifconfig only rteth0 device can be seen # sbin/rtifconfig rteth1 up 192.168.1.200 no error #sbin/rtifconfig two network cards can be seen. rteth0: ip address 192.168.1.202 rteth1: ip address 192.168.1.200
then I use this machine as master, other as slave. at slave side, I can rtping 192.168.1.202,but when I rtping 192.168.1.200, nothing happened,no error message no return message. So I use tcpdump to see what's wrong.at master side, I use tcpdump to catch packet. it is a strange thing that when I rtping 192.168.1.202 from slave node, there is nothing captured by tcpdump.
