Hi all!

I found in the net, that the standard linux driver e1000 will be splitted up
into
two drivers: e1000 and e1000e.
See e.g.:
http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/Kernel/2008-04/msg02026.html

What about rtnet - do you think, we have to split up the rtnet r1000 drivers as
well?
In our application we have typically multiple e1000 boards (up to 6).
Some of the NICs are driven by the standard Linux driver, the others are used
with rtnet.
The cards= argument is out helper here...
When the standard linux/drivers ushave a different organization, this make
everything
much more complicated here...

Any ideas, proposals, ... on this issue?

Thanks for all feedback.

Best regards

Mathias
