Hello everybody,

I am trying to use rtnet on a toshiba laptop equiped with 8169 ethernet
controller. This is the output from lspci

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8101E PCI
Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 01)

As I see, this device is supported by the rtnet. So i compiled the driver and
when I try to run sbin/rtnet start i get the following errors

ioctl: No such device
ioctl: No such device
ioctl: No such device
ioctl: No such device
ioctl (add): No such device
ioctl (add): No such device
ioctl (add): No such device
vnic0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
vnic0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
Waiting for all slaves...ioctl: No such device
ioctl: No such device

I am using also another pc with 8139 10/100 controller and everything works
just fine there. I wonder what is wrong with r8169 driver + rtnet. I can see
it is an experimental driver so I would like to know if anyone managed to
make rtnet work with this card

Thank you so much for your help

Markos
