Jay, Hey, I'll take a Diet Coke or Orange Juice any day! ;-) Anyway, don't know if the distance will get you any latency worth reporting but I guess you can try it out. I don't know of any VPS providers in the UK and according to this article [1] it doesn't seem easy to find. But that blog also talks about a new provider [2] in the works with a nice Rails stack but it seems a couple of weeks away for open enrollment. And although it sounds really good who knows how good they will be out of the gates. I guess it comes down to how fast you need all this and how much of a budget you have to get things tested.
Hope it all goes well whichever way, AEM [1] http://www.rubyinside.com/brightbox-finally-a-rails-focused-vps-in-the-uk-530.html [2] http://www.brightbox.co.uk/ On Jun 15, 10:13 am, James Hargreaves <[EMAIL PROTECTED] s.net> wrote: > Hi Adrian > > Thanks for your reply again. > > Sounds fair enough, the VPS seems a good option and without the memory > limitations I was having with the other hosting package.
