I have been reading up on collation settings, and I'm not sure it will do what I want. I don't want to get rid of accented characters (which is what would happen if I changed character sets), I just don't want searches to get thrown off by them. In other words, a search for "Chrétien" or "Chretien" should still find "Chrétien", and he should still have the accent in his name. Can collation settings do this for me, or is there some other solution?
