Hi Davo, The mongrel item was covered in the next item of that material, but it was for Rails 2.3.6.
With the retirement of Zed Shaw and the current Rails 3 version, for developments purpose Webrick will do the job pretty well. In a real production server You will find many alternatives better then both.
