I've been in need to disable mass-check because it used ALL of the memory on the machine:
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 10800 sa_train 25 5 5658m 2.9g 1144 D 0 67.6 103:19.53 mass-check This VM is our spamgate, and has 4.5GB RAM. It used to have 3GB until recently, then I activated mass-check and it swapped 4GB from RAM to disk. So I increased to 4.5GB RAM, and still mass-check swaps out over 3.1GB to disk. That's just way too much RAM usage. I'm not happy to assign a VM 3GB or more additional RAM just for mass-check, but I did not find a switch to limit RAM usage. We've been running mass-checks for a very long time, but it never used so much RAM than it does now. Any chance to reduce that again? -- mit freundlichen Grüssen, Michael Monnerie, Ing.
