gandro pointed to an interesting blog (http://uhsure.com/halvm3.html) on #rumpkernel iirc, which talks about the design decision for evaluating the next unikernel for HalVM v3. I recollected some of my thoughts while I encountered Rumprun project as well and this email is primarily to get more information on the same.
Is there any short note or text discussing customization of Rumprun unikernel to pick just what you need and how easy is it to get it done? My recent research endeavors require building a unikernel for a c/c++ based application and cutting down to bare minimum which will definitely be a kicker at the end of the day. I guess I want to see what is that bare minimum I can achieve. Even if there is none any pointers would help me in digging in the right direction. I started thinking about a application packaging framework using Rumprun unikernel as base and this study will help me in that direction as well. Thanks, Neeraj
