c/c++ based application and cutting down to bare minimum which will
definitely be a kicker at the end of the day. I guess I want to see
what is that bare minimum I can achieve.

Of course, when someone says "minimize", I have no idea what that means.
So it's good to define at least roughly what sort of goal you're
trying to reach.
