I thought I had made that clear.  Oops.  Sorry about that.

A pity -- does this mean xterm is broken in this regard, or is the
decision on xterm's part to ignore the ECMA thing and just blink
regardless?

Either way, if i really did want to override this "restriction" in
rxvt-unicode, is it just a matter of providing different attributes in
the rxvt-unicode terminfo database, or have i somehow missed the point
entirely?
