Then why don't you just click on the path and paste it with middle-click?

That's what I mean, nautilus makes it hard to select - in the fm I use i
just click on somehting then paste the selection containing the path.

The selection not only is faster, it also doesn't force you to drag&drop,
it's just two clicks, if it works. It has all the advantages of drag&drop
AND is easier on the fingers (moving the mouse while exerting pressure on
a button is more difficult than just moving it).

Due to nautilus, or general gnome anti-unix anti-user behaviour, yes, that's
what I meant.
It's fine with me as well - I don't suffer from the gtk file chooser or
it's programs anymore :)
