*blush* Yeah. I've initially cherry-picked the relevant change from your version and put it into mine (which is the same as <URL:http://github.com/stepb/urxvt-tabbedex>, more or less) . I guess I suck at picking cherries, because your version doesn't have the mouse problem when used as is. So, sorry for the false alarm! It does exhibit the "unused space at the bottom" problem on urxvt 9.14, though.
