Hi,
I have recently set up a new Gentoo machine with i3+urxvt and ran into
the following problem which I haven't read about yet (but maybe I'm just
missing the right keywords).
When I open two terminals in tilling mode next to each other everything
is working fine (Screenshot [0]). But when I press Mod+W (i3 key binding
for tabbed mode) and the left terminal gets resized to full screen mode
the text gets corrupted. Sometimes there are text areas (Screenshot [1])
which occur behind each other resulting in overlapping text. The
wrong-placed characters belong to the previous line as you can see with
the underscores in the screenshot. When I return to tilling mode the
corruption is gone until I return to tabbed mode again and it reappears.
The problem occurs only when transparency is turned on in .Xresources
(see attachment). It's obviously related to resizing the window but I'm
not even sure if it's really an urxvt issue or something else.
I'm currently running the following setup
linux-4.6.0
rxvt-unicode-9.22 (but I tried 9.21 as well and nothing changed)
i3-4.10.4
screen resolution 2560x1440
I don't really know which information is relevant to such a problem but
I would be glad to provide any information you need.
Is this a known misbehavior or are there any hints what might be causing
the trouble?
