Hi Windhya. 
The best place to ask this type of question is Ryu-devel as you already
posted. Although It might take a while to get answers, it is sure that
Ryu developers are reading the mails.

I think what you want to do is
- clone the Ryu git repository to your local environment.
  and create your branch
  (git clone and git checkout -b)
- save the patches on the ryu-devel mailing list
  (it depends on your mailer. Or download patches from the ML archive)
- apply those patches to your branch
  git apply, patch 
- then install Ryu from your local repo, or run ryu-manager in the place

This is very rough overview. If you need more details/concrete command line,
it's not Ryu specific question, but general development knowledge.
I recommend you to find someone locally to teach you in face-2-face manner.
