Amazing!  I am up to date in my reading and am answering yesterday's
digest!

I saw Ron's new tops at the NASG convention.  Although I don't have a
photo, I can describe them.

Take two American Flyer covered hoppers.
Remove the tops.
Slice and join the tops to cover an entire gondola.
Volia!  You now know what it looks like, including the large hatches.

Yes, Ron's tops looks much nicer than my description.

These are not what I seek.  I model 2004.  I am looking for those
modern, semi-circular tops used to keep the weather off huge coils of
steel.  These modern tops are removable.  I am not an expert but I am
sure the prototypes for Ron's new tops were welded on.
