I don't think I have misconceived! Having been in BOT meetings and hearing the amount of discussing that goes on there, and hearing the amount of further discussion that goes on in the open meeting, I would hate to be in an open BOT meeting. That is why we have representatives to work out all those gory details!! So let's remove all BOT representatives -- save the secretary to take copious minutes -- and let the governing be done by all who attend! ;-) Yes, there are "sunshine" laws -- laws that require governmental entities to hold certain official meetings and records open to the public. All 50 states, the District of Columbia and the federal government have some form of "sunshine" law on their books. These laws are generally intended to provide public access to government meetings in the interest of freedom of information. From what I have seen, private corporations do not fall under these laws unless they are dealing with some form of government agency or service. Really hate to hear that the NASG is now part of the government. ;-) From Florida and soon West Virginia, y'all have a Happy New Year!!
