Yes that is correct. For my DCC conversions on AM engines, I take the frame out of the electrical loop. I disconnect the wire from the engine to the frame and direct wire it into the extra wipers making sure I keep the polarity correct between the two trucks. When I did this conversion to my AM Train Masters, I also installed a fiber washer between the gearbox and frame bracket just to make sure I had no shorts and to eliminate the wobble.
