Hi Dave, I have an American Flyer 175 watt transformer that I am using to power my DCC layout at the present time. It has a low hum that is easily tolerable. However, when I tried to use the same AF 350 watt transformer ( I think it was an 18B ) that you spoke about, I heard the very same loud hum. It was too disturbing to use. I do wish there was a way to get rid of that hum. Ed Davis Stockton, Ca Dave Heine <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
On my last layout I used an AF 350 watt transformer (actually two 175 watt transformers in one enclosure) to power several DCC boosters. The only thing about this set of transformers is that they have a loud hum.
