Folks....

This is an interesting message and serves to illustrate the value of
ADVERTISING. Literally dozens and dozens of earlier messages re: the
Budd train, professionally created pamphlet, a presence at two
conventions, a web site, very close to the critical mass, and yet, some
folks think the project is dead! Now far be it from me to complain
about why the world ain't a better place, but I can easily see how this
can happen in S scale.

After all, Kaslo has not paid for any color advertisements in the
magazines. Nor have they bought time on the Jay Leno Show. No wonder
the project is beginning to appear like rigor mortise is setting in.
But things are not always what they appear. This project is actually
beginning to breathe a bit faster now.....

>Thanks again for your correspondence, it is really appreciated.

>Pretty much decided will be buying "mint" factory-painted South Wind
>Niagara for $950 and Kaslo NYC nine car Budd set for $1,080. Just
going to
>wait for flyer. There goes
>my $2,000 budget for this year.

Lookit that! Two train orders just on the basis of one email message to
the list a few days ago. Amazing! More amazing is that one of them
never heard of the project and the other one thought it was dead.
G-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-z-z-z-z-z-z-zzzzzzz.........! It is even more amazing
when I think of the stuff that does get created in S scale only by word
of mouth. Miracles do happen. But think how much easier it would be if
a bit of continuous ADVERTISING kept us all informed. Off soapbox (for
now).

If anyone else out there in S-cyberspace wants the Kaslo Shops
Distributing S Budd pamphlet, please let me know and I will send you
one. Please buy a train set -- if not for yourself, for me! Thanks.

"S"incerely....Ed Loizeaux
