 I had the same experience as Rusty going the other way. A shipment from the
US came via a courier and I was dinging with a brokerage fee that was higher
than the value of the shipment.. it is plain old gouging. now I always ask
that they ship via the post office. it's slower but we S scalers are used to
good things taking time. I'm surprised the Cdn supplier didn't warn you
about the extra charges. plus if you aren't home when the courier calls, you
are into a game of hide and seek getting the g.d. thing delivered.
