Hi All,

Sorry about this blatant ad. This is what I sent the CNR groups who are
mostly HOer's.

"Hi All,

I thought I would take this moment (and it will probably go cross list) to
let you know that the CNR K-3 Pacific kit in S scale was released on Friday
July 29, 2005 at the NASG Convention.

The instructions are very comprehensive and fill a three ring binder. The
have lots of illustrations. The kit will allow you to build any K-3 a, b or
d that CNR ran. The instructions include a lot of the information as to
which had what go where.

It is an etched brass kit using an American Models Pacific Mechanism.

There are two tender wrappers, two tender frames, two sets of running boards,
two complete sets of valve gear, a micro motor with a reduction gearhead for
scale speeds, about 125 brass castings, custom made decals and various screws
etc to aid in the process.

Those of you who are closet S scalers, can get one for $1100 CDN including
the mechanism or $800 CDN excluding the mechanism. The ones with the
mechanism are selling out. You can pay on a monthly basis which is what most
of the purchasers have already done.

I know that one or two HOer's will heavily criticize the price but since they
don't know what is involved in producing something like this, perhaps it
would be interesting to see them come out with something comparable for a
price that they are comfortable with.

Also, as you may be well aware, this means that the HO one is closer now."

Thanks for your time.

cheers,
