When you order, tell them you want a low speed version.  It's available on
all 2 axle/truck locos; I'm not sure about the 3 axle/truck SD.  One simple
gear difference in each truck produces one half the speed per revolution of
the motor compared to the standard version

Anyone who already has an AM 2 axle/truck loco can reduce the speed by half
by getting two low speed worms, AM part designation GBWSLS, and substituting
them for the worms it came with.
