Hi Gene.....

Don't know much about the water tank, but the Plasticville switch
tower is easily improved to a scale-like appearance by cutting off
the 3/4" base, replacing the plastic hand railings with wire, adding
straight pin heads for doorknobs, painting/weathering, cutting
windows in the door panels, adding window "glass", and installing
some interior details/figures which are easily seen through the large
windows. Easy to do and nice looking when finished. Sure cheap when
compared to the laser-cut wood kits.

The Plasticville signal bridges are also modifiable to a scale-like
appearance. But that is another story for the future.

Cheers...Ed L.
