Group,
Has anyone had sucess in scratch building their own S Scale diaphrams? Some
have suggested folded, blackened typewriter paper, umbrella material etc.
Someone on this list sent me a copy of a brass scale length car diaphram
template. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I have seen the commercial rubber like ones (Scenery Unlimited used to sell
them) and they don't seem too prototypical.
Apparently the new Walther HO passenger cars now come with realistic flexible
diaphrams standard. Why can't we have them for S?

Also, what is the minimum radius curve which can support diaphram fitted
passenger cars in for the following scenarios(in all cases assuming
body-mounted
Kadee type couplers and 80' cars):
.
1.Operational around the curve

2.Operational AND looks good

P.S. Thanks everyone for your thoughts concerning minimum radius curves and
centers.

Jack Rielyl
