I have drilled holes in the window openings and inserted a fine-tooth
jeweler's saw blade through them, then mounted it in the handle and
sawed out the openings that way. for a base upon which to clamp the
brass sheet. I used a piece of old hardwood 1 x 8 (so it won't warp)
about sight inches square, with a piece of 1 x 2 mounted on the bottom
so I could secure it in a vise while I worked.
The "Nibbler" didn't exist in those days, though, and I went through a
number of saw blades, so it pays to consider your options. My methods,
as well as myself, are rather "dated"!
