Ed & Folks,
     I think most of the items that you are referring to were taken care 
of by the old ACE line of stuff and earlier by Nimco's line of 
conversion kits.  I have a AF PA set which ride on those conversion 
wheels followed by a AF Hudson with Nimco scale drivers,   I also  have 
one AF boxcar (PRR x-29) that uses the old Ace metal floor, and  a few 
AF gondolas that have a conversation bolster (locally made) that 
resembles the Ace.
     Because you are giving or trading away your stash sort of proves 
that doing these conversions is either out of style because of the 
perceived value of AF nowadays.  Or perhaps they have forgotten the 
day's when most of us did these conversions routinely.
