My problem is that I'm looking for research material so I can do S scale models, not just S scale stuff. So I want photographs, equipment diagrams, annual reports, etc.
I did found out why my searches no longer work. eBay changed search engines, so now punctuation marks are treated as spaces even when an exact phrase is requested. So my "T&OC" phrase will pull in everything that has a T space OC in the description, and that is what I'm seeing. That makes perfect sense now - the next option is to see if I can modify eBay's javascript search to do what I need it to, which won't be easy based on a couple of web pages I found. You have a good point about searching the S scale pages, but when I was vacillating between leaving O scale and entering S scale, I noticed some S scale items were actually listed on the O scale pages (SHS in HiRail, and American Flyer in O scale 2 rail!), so expand your search once in awhile. Now I'll have to look into modeling a railroad without an ampersand in the name!
