Over the last 4-5 years I disposed of 3 friends magazine and book collections (one suffered a stroke, the other 2 left widows without a clue). In the end I was able to sell most of them; the NMRA Buls were donated to NMRA, either locally or nationally. It was a struggle. I spent the best part of 2 winters with the layout covered with mags & books when I could have been working on the layout. I'm not sorry I did it and am glad I was able to help out but never again.
When I dispose of my MR's and RMC's I will donate them to a RR msm who sells them for cents an issue at their book/souvenier shop. Will probably do the same with TRAINS and with RAILFAN. My Milw RD, SOO Line, and C&NW publications will probably go to those organizations.
