Boy what an interesting, if somewhat off-topic, discussion. Seems
alot of S List Members have a "long memory".

Call me naive but I like Model Railroader. A friend of mine loaned
me 10 issues dating back to 1981 on featured S Scale layouts.
He did it as a favor, after I told him I was changing Scales and he
did a search on an internet website.
Sort of a blending of the old (magazines) with the new (internet).
Also loved Ed Loizeaux's layout featured in 10 Great Model Railroads.

Read with interest (on this thread) how Kalmbach & Walthers didn't
support "S" early on, because they didn't think the hobby could
support another Scale (besides "HO" & "O").

However, I can't help but feel you guys are "conspiracy theorist",
and that was then, this is now.

Believe S Helper Service, American Models, etc... have it right:
Build it & they will come! (a la "Field of Dreams).

I also believe Model Railroader will feature any descent "scale"
layout. Again "build it & they will come".

Best regards,
